The GemTrue Multi Experior is an exceptional diamond tester that is able to distinguish diamonds from moissanite**. Widely recognized to be the most accurate and best diamond tester pen on the market, this tester makes sure that you’ll source out real diamonds and mossanite. Besides testing for diamonds and moissanite, this diamond tester is also able to recognize rubies or sapphires***. This means that you’ll be able to use this tester to recognise a ruby or sapphire. ** Please note that this tester is not for testing CVD/HPHT (man made synthetic diamonds). Its main purpose if for only for distinguishing from real natural Diamonds and Moissanite.
*** Please note that this tester will test only for real Rubies or Sapphires. It will not distinguish between the two. This additional function is meant to help as guide to point out genuine Rubies or Sapphires when testing Diamond or Moissanite. For example you may have a genuine Rubie or Sapphire mixed in with other stones then it will illuminate red with no sound to indicate that this is NOT a Diamond or Moissanite and possibly a Ruby or Sapphire. It will not tell the difference from synthetic to real rubies or sapphires.

This tester is specifically designed for distinguishing natural diamonds from moissanite. While it can detect sapphires and rubies by illuminating red, it does not identify or differentiate between these stones or other gemstones. It is not a general-purpose gemstone tester. If you are testing stones other than diamonds or moissanite, the results may not be accurate, and the device is not intended for such use. Proper use as outlined in the user manual is critical to achieving accurate results. Misuse or improper testing procedures may result in incorrect readings, for which GemTrue cannot be held liable. Always use high-quality alkaline batteries for optimal performance.
The DK9000 may encounter difficulties with some of the latest advanced Moissanites in 2025. For comprehensive testing of the full range of low-conductivity Moissanites, we highly recommend the GemTrue ARETE DK10200!
